šŸ«£ Confession time

Hey there, Reader!

Oof, caught red-handed. My husband called me out yesterday for obsessively checking my ConvertKit stats. Guilty as charged! šŸ˜…

When business slows down (hello, summer lull), I find myself diving into repetitive checking of email opens & click-throughs. It's my way of feeling in control when things are out of my hands.

(Tell me Iā€™m not the only one.)

This week, I've been extra glued to my screen.

ā€‹Remember the ALIGN Checklist I sent last week? I wanted to make sure it didn't get lost in your inbox, so I experimented with some things I havenā€™t done in awhile:

1) Sent automated follow-ups based on actions taken, and

2) Used conditional messaging using ConvertKitā€™s (Soon to Be Kitā€™s) Liquid feature to promote some offers that will help you to put the checklist into action.

In a nutshell, if you received the ALIGN checklist, you received different follow-up emails & offers based on how you're tagged in my system.

Oh, and my clients received an special email with links to private resources to help them with the technical setup.

Pretty cool, right?

While this might seem advanced, I've implemented similar strategies for my clients:

  • Tweaking welcome sequences to show different links based on what their subscribers signed so that they can refer back to a resource (and avoid confusing subscribers who didnā€™t sign up for a particular resource)
  • Customizing calls-to-action in their newsletter templates based on client status
  • Showing quiz results & custom links that align with the results

Unfortunately, most solo business owners donā€™t use this powerful email personalization feature.

Either because they donā€™t have a clear plan for why and how theyā€™re tagging subscribers, which makes the feature impossible to use effectively.

Or they think itā€™s way more complicated than it is and donā€™t feel confident figuring it out on their own.

Or because they donā€™t really get what it is.

(Hello, all three described me once upon a time šŸ™‹šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø)

ā€‹Thatā€™s why we'll be addressing all three challenges in the (Convert)Kit Essentials Accelerator program, the small-group program Iā€™m piloting in October to boost your ConvertKit skills & confidence.

Doors open later this week for the waitlist, and I'm working on an early bird bonus. Here's where I need your help:

What kind of early bird bonus would you love to see for a 6-week, high touch program?

-A 30-minute 1:1 session?
-An audit of your newsletter signup process, from form to welcome sequence?
-A $100 credit to apply to a future service?
-Something else entirely?

Hit reply and let me know your thoughts - even if you're not considering the program.

Replies help with email deliverability & to spark conversations, and also because I value your input :-)

Take it one step at a time, ā€‹
Bev šŸ„

P.S. Interested in the program? Click here to be added to the waitlist - the group is limited to 6 people and there are only 5 spots left!
